"The intrigue"  while doing a much less than James Bond investigation (though it’s more of being interested to know the tram) compared to metro – no fuss, no stress, people less, maybe its 1pm - 5pm when I did the surveilance that day. But during peak hours I noticed it is the same... anyhow I enjoyed the ride, period.

To support uncovering this case, of course I need to do research before exploring.

And the first vital object I’ve got is, tadaaaaa... the Tram Map!

ref: http://www.thenational.ae/uae/dubai-tram-network---a-graphic

Connections are rightly located in Jumeirah Lake Towers (JLT) and Dubai Marina makes the passengers traffic convenient to all important places here in Marina area.  Check-in on the same NOL Card (metro ticket) in Dubai Marina which name was changed to Damac Station, I set off on this mission.

The stations are about 1foot above from the ground.  Dubai Tram is not underground nor elevated.

Touch screen/keyboard ticket and information booth

You wont find ticket booth with RTA staff, all are machines.  Nevertheless staff are available around the area for any assistance passengers may need.

Using metro NOL  cards this automated ticket booth, is a serve-yourself and get ticket according to your travel requirements, with prices according to each itinerary.

NOL card validators,  placed in each station about a few steps once you come out from the tram doors

In Metro the validator has stopper that will open once you tag your NOL card, then you can get in or out.  In here the validators doesn't have stopper,  you can enter-exit by your own will.  But dont forget to tag as fines will be charged to offenders.

Like the metro, tram has station guide above the doors in the waiting area

Passengers waiting for the tram

Same with Metro, floor feature for passengers with special needs

Feeling detective with magnifyng glass in my hand, I took this tram’s floor, unnoticebale yet very important to those passengers with special needs.  Yes you see it right, an embosed foot guide.

Below is section for people on wheelchairs and beside is a bagage rest, these are well planned as usual, salute to the tram team!

This is a map inside the tram, the circled number is blinking on a specific station, telling where you are now.  A voice record prompts whenever you reach a station and since it has a physical driver, these driver tells you whenever you are in the connecting points, to inform the passengers, that from here you can cross and take Metro train.  Sorry, you can only receive drivers message but you cannot reply or inquire :)

Inside the tram a single sits, double sits and those by 4’s are foldable.

Gold Seats are available, pay little more to experience.

I find this standing-metal-creature funny, like an upside down flour mixer yay!  Yet sturdy enough to help standing passengers, something to hold on to.

By the way that’s the tram drivers at the end of the train.

And my pathetic James Bond mode investigation continues...

Using my highly sophisticated 2years old 240 Dirhams mobile (honestly) w/ 2 mega pixels that’s sooo slow to re-start, grrrrr!  I still took the challenged to capture the beauty of the surroundings.

Too proud to show what I got :p

Wow, Radisson Blu Hotel Marina!

Crossing the bridge, these are right and left buildings standing amazingly along the water

A fleet of boat docked on the left side, choose what you like :)

Junction after crossing the bridge from Marina station

After marina, bridge and water area it is now moving towards the road called Al Sufouh

A rail on the road is a railroad :)

On the road againnn ... are we there yet? (Shrek’s donkey)

I guess the tram moves not faster than 60kmph, tourist would appreciate this since its running enough to view the wonderful areas.

After Marina station, below are what can be seen along Al Sufuoh Road:

Dubai Media City Station near CNN building

One of the beautiful spot near Media City station

Palm Jumeirah Tram Station

Those planning to go to Atlantis, this is the exact point where you have to hop off and walk thru that over pass bridge toward the brown building on the left, that’s the station of the monorail.  About 15min. walk from Palm Jumeirah tram station.

Crossing the railroad from Palm Jumeirah station to pedestrian lane

Like this one you’ll find plenty signage specially in the junctions, railroad itself and stations to caution everyone.

Knowledge Village

Last stop Al Sufouh station

Going back to Marina where I started, can’t stop taking pictures of these structures.

CNN & Reuters building in Media City

Ironman look-a-like on black mask.  Not just running but gliding!

Tram going to Marina area from Al Sufouh

These are mammoth structures in JBR 1 station, haven for architects & engineers to see

JLT Tram station

To seal-in my exaggerating surveillance, a probe that is flawless on my own right, I hop off JLT Tram station to connect me to JLT Metro station, I felt accomplished... on this Mission so Possible to anyone ;)
